FESTIVAL OF WALKS: PROTOTYPING LAB FOR CREATIVE TOURISM

Dear creatives, cultural activists, touristic workers of Maribor and surroundings!

Maribor is the Future, Cooperative Vivid City and Rajzefiber in cooperation with the Center for Creativity, at the Museum of Architecture and Design, invite you to the PROTOTYPING LAB FOR CREATIVE & CULTURAL TOURISM PRODUCTS, lead by international professionals in the field of creative tourism and design thinking; Fiona Bakas, Tiago Castro / creatour.pt, PT and Ana Osredkar / Servis 8, SLO.

The Lab is taking place from 29. – 31.3. 2019 in Vetrinjski dvor, Maribor. If you want to develop new creative tourism products or if you already have touristic product, that you want to upgrade to the creative tourism products, the Prototyping Lab is a great chance for you!

In October 2018 »Maribor is the Future!« team organized their first event named »Idealab for Creative and Cultural Tourism in small and middle sized cities.« In the course of the three day gathering, hosted by Tiago Castro from CREATOUR Portugal, we defined next steps that Maribor tourism should take. Since then we already established a local network, now we want to work on content – creative touristic products.

Within PROTOTYPING LAB FOR CREATIVE & CULTURAL TOURISM / PRODUCTS our main focus will be Creative tourism. We will take you through:
👉 cultural and emotional mapping of the city
👉 show you how to connect the facts into stories; because: storytelling = storyselling
👉 use user-centered design
👉 develop prototypes of feasible creative – cultural tourism offerings.

Together we will spark our brains and really put ourselves in the heads and emotions of our future visitors.

Expected schedule: Friday from 14.00 – 20.00, Saturday and Sunday, 9.00 – 18.00

The Prototyping lab will be executed in english language!

Participation is free, but spaces are limited to 15 people, so we will make a selection, if there are going to be more applications. Have in mind that Prototyping Lab is a three day event and we expect from the participants to be be present all three days!!!
