80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR

Since next year is the 80th anniversary of the end of the Spanish Civil War, Infopeka will be holding an evening of critical talks and discussions on this period of history and its significance nowadays. We will present the following topics: reasons for the Spanish Civil War and its history; the role of Anarchists, Communists and Socialists; the Yugoslavian activists as members of the Revolution; art as a way of informing the world about the war and the contemporary political situation in Spain with emphasis on Franco’s legacy.
We will also screen “Libertarias”, a Spanish movie about the journey nun during the first days of the Civil War and her encounter with the Anarchist organisation Mujeres Libres.
You’re invited to come on Wednesday, 17. 10. 2018 at 19:00 in INFOPEKA. The presentation will be in English. Free entrance!
