PEKARNA POTOPISI: JAPONSKA
28. septembra, 2018 18:00 - 19:00
Tokratni potopis bo zajemal zgodovinski, kulturni in geografski pregled nenavadnih dejstvih o državi kontrastov.
Razbijamo stereotipe! Vstop prost!
You’re invited to Pekarna potopisi’s travelogue: JAPAN on Friday, 28. 9. 2018 at 18:00 in INFOPEKA. The presentation will be in English.
Did you know that the name of the country means “land of rising sun”? Did you know that the Metropolitan Area of Tokyo, with almost 40 million inhabitants, is 20 times the population of Slovenia? Did you know that Japan has over 6.800 islands? Did you know that with more than 27% of the population over 65, Japan has the highest proportion of elderly people in the World? Did you know that Japan has 5,5 million vending machines?
In our next travelogue on Japan, we will look at the history, culture, physical and human geography and these curious facts about this country of contrasts.
This event is part of PEKARNA POTOPISI (potopisi, ki to niso), a program of lectures and talks on countries and places in which speakers challenge travellers stereotypical view of a country and offer a more in depth political and critical view.
This travelogue will be presented by Esme, who studied and worked in Scotland and visited Japan last year, and Rafa, who studied geography and migration in Spain and Portugal. They are now doing EVS at Pekarna Magdalenske mreže.
We are smashing stereotypes! Free entrance!
